Course description and certification

The Master courses deal with the following topics:

  1. Methodology of Research
  2. Geopolitics
  3. International Organisations and International Relations
  4. Institution building and Human Rights
  5. Economics
  6. Humanitarian Affairs and Crisis Management
  7. Environmental sustainability
  8. Health quality management

Lectures, seminars, meetings and round tables will be organized with the participation of experts from international organizations, regional and national government officials, and managers from private and non-profit making institutions.

Teaching methodology will be mainly based on the presentation, discussion and analysis of case studies. During the third semester (January-June) an internship in national or international, public or private, organizations and the the preparation of a final thesis/project work will complete the preparation.

Students shall obtain the Master Degree after a positive evaluation of their studies and of the defense of a thesis/project work.

Recognition and legal value of the Master

The final certificate and title of "Master in State Management and Humanitarian Affairs" has full legal value as a second level University Masters.

The international recognition of the Master is also guaranteed by an international agreement among the Universities of Rome "La Sapienza, Belgrade and Sarajevo as well as by the adoption of the ECTS (the European Credit Transfer System measuring the student’s workload: 1 credit = 25 working hours.

Students shall obtain the Master Degree if the defense of their thesis will be positively evaluated by a commission made of specialists of the topic.
