Course description and certification

The MEB Master programme develops managerial skills in an international and intercultural context by building bridges between the academic world, the EU institutions and enterprises of all sorts.

The MEB Master courses deal with the following topics:

  FIRST SEMESTER (Rome) - 30 credits
1 The EU reference frame: policies, actors and tools
2 The Institutional environment
3 The Legal environment: hard and soft legislation
4 The economic environment
5 Workshop
6 Basic Tools
   
  SECOND SEMESTER - OPTION 1 (Rome) - 15 credits
1 Financing of European Enterprises
2 Credit worthiness
3 Project financing
4 Financial contracts
5 Bond issues
   
  SECOND SEMESTER - OPTION 2 (Brussels) - 15 credits
1 Lobby groups and techniques in EU decision making
2 Decision making in the European Union: specialisation
3 Current topics: Lobbying and Decision making
   
  STUDY TOURS, WORKSHOPS, AND PROJECT WORK - 15 credits
1 Study Tour in Brussels and Luxembourg:

-  Visits to European Institutions

2 Drafting of a project work related to practical experiences or internships

Lectures, seminars, meetings and round tables will be organized with the participation of experts from European and international organizations, regional and national government officials, managers from private and non-profit making institutions, as well as stakeholders from the business, economic and financial world.

The Master programme offers the students the opportunity to go abroad and study specialised European courses in Brussels whose business environments offers ample opportunities to acquire the qualification and skills needed to launch a professional career in an EU-related environment.

Teaching methodology will be mainly based on the presentation, discussion and analysis of case studies. 

Students shall obtain the Master Degree after a positive evaluation of their studies and of the defense of the project work.

Recognition and legal value of the Master

The final certificate and title of "Master in European Business" has full legal value in Italy as a second level University Masters and is recognised in Belgium by the Flemish Community. The ECTS (the European Credit Transfer System measures the student’s workload: 1 credit = 25 working hours) is adopted .
